Go Where Your Dreams Take You

I know it's not Tuesday, but I'm going to share a project created for Topflight Stamps! When I saw the Dragon's Dance Clear Photopolymer Stamp Set by Pink Ink Designs®, I knew it was going to be mine. I could not resist the three adorable dragonets and thought the fairy was absolutely lovely.

The focal image is a bit large, so I opted to create a wall hanging that might end up in my Quotes Art Journal. When never knows.

Here it is:

Instructions:
  1. Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the fairy onto white cardstock.
  2. Color with Copic markers.
  3. Use a pink chalk pencil to add blush to her cheeks.
  4. Use Rose Stardust Glitter pen to add glitter to the berry thingies on her rose crown.
  5. Trim a piece of Mixed Media paper to 8.25" square.
  6. Use a circle die to cut an aperture in the center of the 8.25" square.
  7. Use blending brushes to apply Summer Sky and Angel Pink Memento ink to the background.
  8. Use Tuxedo Black Memento ink to stamp the little dragons as shown.
  9. Color the dragons with Copic markers.
  10. Dab the Clear Shimmer Stix onto a glass surface. Pick up the shimmery ink with a paint brush and apply to the dragons' wings.
  11. Use a stamping platform to stamp the sentiment on the lower right side.
  12. Ink the stamp with black ink and stamp.
  13. Ink the stamp with Golden Glitz ink and stamp.
  14. I was not happy with the gold glitziness of the sentiment. My pad was a bit dry and my re-inker was clumpy.
  15. Dab the Gold Shimmer Stix onto a glass surface. Pick up the ink with a paint brush and apply onto the heavier letters in the sentiment.
  16. While you're at it, splatter the background with the shimmery gold ink.
  17. Use the dabber top of the Gold Shimmer Stix to edge the circle aperture and the edges of the square.
  18. Adhere the image panel behind the circular aperture.
  19. Adhere the image panel/background panel to a piece of heavyweight black cardstock cut to 8.5" square.
