Ground Espresso Tim Holtz® Distress® Ink by Ranger Industries

Instructions:

1. Cut and score dark brown cardstock to form an A2 card.
2. Cut pink patterned paper to 5.25" x 4" to form the card front.
3. Cut a strip of striped patterned paper then die-cut the bottom edge with the scalloped die from the Spring Borders die set.
4. Edge the die-cut with Ground Espresso Distress ink.
5. Adhere the strip to the card front as shown, then edge the image panel with Distress ink.
6. Stamp the image onto white cardstock and color with Copic markers.
7. Trim and mat onto brown patterned paper cut .5" larger.
8. Adhere the matted image panel to the card front.
9. Adhere the card front to the brown A2 card.

Instructions:

1. Create a 5" x 7" card from the silver-flecked grey cardstock. Set aside.
2. Stamp the robot and the dog onto Cryogen cardstock and onto repositonable label paper with Tuxedo Black Memento ink.
3. Fussy-cut the label versions and place them over their counterparts on the image panel.
4. Place the image panel onto the STAY-tion and secure with magnets. Place the magnetic ruler over the bottom part of the panel under the wheels of the robot and dog.
5. Sponge the light blue ink from the Ombre Prism Ink pad over the masked images and over the top of the ruler.
6. Use the magnets to secure the stencil over the blue-sponged image panel.
7. Sponge the same blue ink over the stencil onto the image panel. Remove the stencil.
8. Move the ruler so that it's covering the top part of the image and sponge Thundercloud ink over the base of the image panel.
9. Lift the masks and color the images with Copic markers. Retrospectively, I wish I hadn't added the verdigris and rust to the dog and robot. Alas.
10. Coat the clock, bulbs, the tip of the dogs nose, the goggle lenses, screws, and rivets with several layers of Glaze pen, letting the gel ink dry between each layer. This will create clear dimension and shine on all those elements.
11. Trim the image panel and mat with black cardstock.
12. Use the Time Machine die to cut the metallic silver cardstock and adhere to the right side of the card front.
13. Add different gears atop some of the gears on the Time Machine die-cut.
14. Adhere the matted image panel as shown.
15. Use the label printer to create the sentiment and adhere to the card front.
16. Add some gears to finish the card.

Instructions:

1. Sponge Polka Dot Window Front from the WindowRama Baby Card Kit with Distress Ink. Fold backward along the innermost fold line on both sides.Set aside.
2. Use WindowRama Die set to die-cut the map patterned paper to form the back of the card. Fold  forward along the innermost fold line on both sides.
3. Stamp the gnomes onto white cardstock with Memento ink, color, fussy-cut, and edge each image with black marker.
4. Stamp sentiment onto Desert Storm scrap and die-cut using the speech bubble from the Tweet Birdie Die set.
5. Adhere the images as shown. You can use tape on the reverse of the images and the speech bubble to make sure they're secure. 
6. Be absolutely sure that there is no adhesive showing or the gnomes and/or the speech bubble with make the front of the card stick to the back!
7. Adhere the front of the WindowRama card to the back.

Cutterbee® Circle Curvy Cutter™ by EK Success 

Instructions:

1. Cut the 12x12 piece of blue cardstock in half. Score one of the pieces at 6" and fold to form a 6" square card. Set aside.
2. Using Memento ink, stamp the image onto Cryogen White Metallic cardstock. Give the ink a few minutes to dry or heat set.
3. Color the image with Copic markers*. 
4. Use the Curvy Cutter to cut a 5.75"-ish circle from vellum to create a transparent mask.
5. Place the vellum sheet over the image panel with the circle opening where you want.
6.  Secure both the image panel and the vellum with magnets.
7. Sponge Periwinkle Prism ink over the edge of the circle onto the image panel.
8. Repeat Step #7 with Dusky Rose Prism ink.
9. Remove the vellum and reserve for another day.
10. Trim the image panel to 5 5/8" square.
11. Use Copic markers to add dots around the dragon.** I actually did this because I had an area where the Copic marker bled a bit and I couldn't fix it. Since it was the last thing I colored on the dragon, I was heck-bent on saving the colored image. I hope I did.
12. Use Periwinkle ink to stamp the swirl, from the Dragon stamp set, to the right of the dragon's nose.
13. Use Periwinkle ink to stamp the outline star trio randomly around the edges of the image panel.
14. Edge the panel with Periwinkle and Dusky Rose ink.
15. Cut pink glitter cardstock to 5.75" square.
16. Cut the sentiment from the interior of the square.
17. Mat the image panel with glitter paper and then adhere the matted image panel to the card.
18. Adhere the sentiment to finish the card.

* Cryogen White cardstock, when colored with Copic markers or inked with Dye inks, yields a lovely shimmer, which I hope that you can see on the photo. I figured that shimmer was perfect for the dragon!

** I actually used the dotty background thang because I had an area where the Copic marker bled a bit and I couldn't fix it. Since it was the last thing I colored on the dragon, I was heck-bent on saving the colored image. I hope I did. Can you see it?

Mice Love Chocolate

True fact. Mice do love chocolate. Unfortunately, I discovered when I left Halloween candy overnight, then discovered empty wrappers, mice paw prints, and other (nasty) evidence. Ick. However, Stampendous' new House-Mouse Designs® Chocolate Dip rubber stamp is absolutely adorable.

1. Cut 12x12 brown cardstock in half, score, and fold to form a 6" square card. Set aside.

3. Use one of the dies from the Fitted frames Cutting Die Set to cut a window in the patterned paper.
4. Edge the opening and the edges with Distress ink.
5. Use a smaller die to cut a window in the other side of the brown cardstock.
6. Adhere the brown cardstock behind the opening in the patterned paper.
7. Use Memento ink to stamp the image.
8. Color with Copic markers.
9. Frame the image panel with opening in the matted patterned paper card front.
10. Adhere the card front to the brown card.

Heart Canvas

Broken Guitar Strings from my husband

Instructions:

1. Brush black Gesso over the front, sides, and back of the canvas. Let dry.
2. Brush Gold and Silver MFA paint randomly over the front and sides of the canvas. Let dry.
3. Randomly add the Silver Dazzling Metallic paint to the canvas. Let dry.
4. Mix Translucent White with Cerulean MFA paint, spritz with water to thin it, and apply wash over the canvas. 
5. Mix Translucent White with Quinacridone Magenta MFA paint, spritz with water to thin it, and randomly apply streaks to the canvas.
6. Repeat Steps #2 to #5 until you are happy with the canvas' appearance.
7. Heat set, which will make some of the paint bubble, which will add texture and interest.
8. Coat the canvas with a layer of Media Matte Medium. heat set.
9. Use Jet Black Archival ink to add the heart/vine border to the top of the canvas.
10. Apply a layer of Media Matte Medium to the canvas and heat set.
11. Place the Microchip stencil on the canvas and sponge Watering Can and French Ultramarine ink over the stencil. Remove the stencil. Heat set.
12. Apply a layer of Media Matte Medium to the canvas and heat set.
13. Spray Long John Silver Moon Shadow Mist over the canvas. Let the spray pool and drip down the edges. Heat set.
14. Spray Brushed Nickel Glitz Spritz over the canvas. Let the spray pool and drip down the edges. Heat set.
15. Repeat Steps #13 and #14 until you are happy with the canvas. Heat set.
16. Using a q-tip, apply Treasure Gold or other sparkly wax product to the areas of the canvas where the paint bubbled.
17. Using Tuxedo Black, stamp the hearts, butterflies, heart border, key, and sentiment onto Cryogen White cardstock, which is shimmery. Fussy-cut all the images, color with Copic markers, and edge them with a dark marker to avoid those nasty white edges. 
18. Adhere the colored hearts to the canvas and the hearts onto the stamped border using On Point Glue or other good quick drying transparent glue.
19. Trim the ends of two guitar strings. Adhere to the back of the butterfly's head using Micro Adhesive Dots.
20. Use 3D Foam Adhesive Squares to adhere the butterfly as shown.
21. Adhere the sentiment to the key, then use 3D Foam Adhesive Squares to add the sentiment/key element to the canvas.
22. Apply several layers of  Clear Glaze 3D Glossy Gel Pen to the screws and rivets on the hearts and butterfly and the clock hands on one of the hearts.

Rocking Cat

1. Cut a piece of 85" x 11" navy cardstock in half. Score and fold one piece to form an A2 card. Set the card and the extra piece aside.
2. Using Memento ink, stamp the image onto white cardstock and color with Copic markers.
3. Using one of the dies from the Stitched Rectangles die set, cut the image panel.
4. Cut a piece of flowered patterned paper to 4" x 5.25" to form the card front. 
5. Edge with Distress ink.
6. Cut a piece of checkered patterned paper, edge with Distress ink, and adhere to the card front.
7. Adhere the image panel onto the card front as shown.
8. Adhere the card front to the card.

Valentine Variations

Greetings! It's Tuesday, so it's my turn to share the projects I created for Topflight Stamps! I'm firmly in the Valentine's Day groove and have made a set of three cards that are a variation on a theme. They all  feature AALL and Create's screamingly cute Love Birds, Paper Rose Studio's' Scalloped Rectangle Frame die set, Hunkydory Crafts' Prism Inks, and my poor neglected  5x7 Gel Press.

*The packet of these labels contains 25 8.5" x 11" sheets that make cost-effective masks!

Instructions: 

1. To create the card bases for all three cards, trim three sheets of Avalanche White cardstock to 8" x 5.75", score at 4", and fold. 
2. Use the larger of the two dies included in the Scalloped Rectangle Frame set to cut Avalanche White cardstock twice and the paw print 6x6 patterned paper once.
3. Set aside the cards and the die-cuts.

Penguin Card Instructions:

1. Using Memento ink, stamp the penguin pair onto 140 lb. Mixed Media paper and onto the label paper.
2. Fussy-cut the label version and adhere atop the penguins on the image panel.
3. Adhere a strip of removable Scotch Tape over the base of the card.
4. Place the 5x7 Gel Press on top of the 5x7 Clear Acrylic Handle.
5. Brayer Stormy Sky Distress ink onto the 5x7 Gel Press. 
6. Use the Gel Press as a stamp to stamp the background onto the masked penguin image panel. Carefully separate the Gel Press from the image panel, spritz lightly with water, and heat set.
7. Secure the image panel and the Grid of Hearts stencil to the STAY-tion with magnets then randomly sponge Dusky Rose Prism ink over the Grid of Hearts stencil onto the image panel, starting between the penguins and continuing upwards.
8. Keeping the mask over the penguins, remove the Scotch Tape strip along the base of the image panel.
9. Sponge Arctic Mist over the penguins feet to the bottom of the image panel.
10. Remove the mask from the penguins and realize that the ink bled a little around the penguins' feet. Oops.
11. Color the image with Copic markers.
12. Secure the image panel onto the base of the stamping platform with magnets, position the sentiment as desired, lift the handle, ink the stamp with Onyx Black VersaFine ink, and stamp the sentiment. 
13. Coat the base of the card, including the penguins' feet, with White Blizard Nuvo Drops and let dry several hours. Move on to the next card. 

Cat Card Instructions:

1. Stamp the cats onto Neenah cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink, color the cats with Copic markers to look like your cats, fussy-cut, edge with a dark marker, and set aside.
2. Brayer Ombre Blues Prism ink to the top part of the Gel Press to create the sky.
3. Brayer Rainforest and Evergreen Prism ink to the bottom part of the Gel Press to create grass.
4. Place Mixed Media cardstock onto the Gel Press and pull a print to create a background.
5. Use the two green chalk pencils to add some dimension to the grassy area.
6. Secure the image panel onto the base of the stamping platform with magnets. position the sentiment as desired, lift the handle, ink the stamp with Onyx Black VersaFine ink, and stamp the sentiment. 
7. Color the center of the hearts with the Copic marker(s) that match the background.
8. Adhere the cats to the image panel.

Owl Card Instructions:

1. Stamp the cats onto Neenah cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento ink, color the cats with Copic markers to look like your cats, fussy-cut, edge with a dark marker, and set aside.
2. Cut a circle from white cardstock using one of the Circle Nestabilities dies to create the moon.
3. Use Dusky Rose ink to stamp the hearts onto the moon.
4. Cut a branch from a scrap of brown cardstock.
5. Brayer Purple Velvet, Nautical Blue, and French Navy Prism inks onto the Gel Press. 
6. Place Mixed Media cardstock onto the Gel Press and pull a print to create a night sky background. 
7. Contemplate adding a spray of stars with white acrylic paint. Decide against it.
8. Use Purple Velvet and Nautical Blue ink to randomly stamp xoxo and "Hugs and Kisses" onto the image panel.
9. Adhere the moon, branch, and owls to the image panel.

To Complete the cards:

1. Secure each image panel behind the openings of the Scalloped Frames die-cuts.
2. Adhere the combined Scalloped Frames/image panels to the card front positioning them close to the top and fold of the card.
3. Trim.

Instructions:

1. Cut Concord Jam cardstock to 11" x 5.5", score at 5.5", and fold to form a 5.5" square card.
2. Cut rose flecked paper to 5.25" square and edge with Black Soot Distress ink.
3. Using Memento ink, stamp the image onto white cardstock and color with Copic markers. 
4. Use the pink chalk pencil to add a touch of blush to the beauty's cheeks.
5. Use the lavender chalk pencil to shade the side of the nose and under the cheeks, nose, and jawline. 
6. Trim the image panel to 5" square and edge with Black Soot Distress ink.
7. Stamp the sentiment with the Monarch VersaFine Clair ink, die-cut with the ticket die, and lightly edge with the Monarch VersaFine Clair ink.
8. Adhere the image panel to the card front.
9. Adhere the sentiment to finish the card.
