Here's the color palette, courtesy of Design Seeds.
Here's my card, which uses a stamp from the Tipsy set from the Frou-Frou Collection by Crafter's Companion.
As usual, my colors now seem off to me. Oh well. I really don't much like color palette challenges anyway. My monitor and my printer don't agree very often, then when I get up into my craft room, everything changes. Too bad, so sad. :(
The gal in the martini glass from the Tipsy set was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with Copic markers which were chosen because I was under the impression that they matched the printout of the color palette.
I decided to try to make it look as though the martini glass actually had a martini in it and that the girl was sitting in that boozy liquid. I don't know if I succeeed or not. You can judge.
The patterned papers are from the Flourish 6x6 pad by Authentique, the Happy Day 6x6 pad by My Mind's Eye, the Vintage Double Dot 6x6 pad by BoBunny, and an ancient piece of 12x12 paper from the 29th Street Market collection by My Mind's Eye. My name is Kathi and I am a patterned paper hoarder.
I've been doing some reorganizing and found an adhesive cardstock pad by QuicKutz. I used this to die-cut the sentiment, using word dies by Elizabeth Craft Designs. An equally ancient corner die was used to die-cut patterned paper, ancient Prima flower were layered, and rhinestones were used as flower centers.

Kathi, you did a fabulous job of coloring--it really looks like she is in a martini! (Which I do not care for--I am more the Margarita or Mai Tai kind of gal.) BTW, I have trouble matching the colors, too, so don't worry about it! I think you picked out great paper, you hoarder, you--seriously, you should get help for that. Love the design and fun flowers, too! :^)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend, oh Crazy One...
Hugs, Penny
