Bombshell Stamps' Hump Day Hop!

It's that time of the month again! ;) No! Not that! It's time for the monthly Hump Day Hop sponsored by Bombshell Stamps!

Kas, Bombshell's Hump Day Hop Captain, set this month's theme, "Look Ma! I did it!" The challenge was to make a handmade embellishment and include it on a project.

Being me, I did one project and mailed it off. I hope the recipient doesn't visit here and see it before the mail gets to her.

It's another tin using the same Paint Dabber resist technique I used on the other tin (see below). What can I say! I really like this technique. It's quick, easy, and yields cool results!

However, this time I used the Skull & Rose from Bombshell's Man's Ruin set, the rose from the Señora Muerte set, and the rose garland from the Love & Luck set.

The front of the tin:

The back of the tin:

I stamped the skull & rose image, colored it with Copic markers, masked it, stamped the roses over it with my trusty Pearl Paint Dabber, and then blended three colors of pink Distress ink over it.

The roses along the side and back were stamped and colored with Copic markers and then overinked with the same three colors.

The handmade embellishment is actually not handmade, it's hand compiled. *grin* Yeah. I cheated. I took a Heidi Swapp acrylic star, dabbed one side with the Pearl Dabber and used alcohol ink on the other side. The clear acrylic "S" was alcohol inked, adhered to the star. I dabbed an acrylic "l" with paint and stamped "Bombshell" on it with StazOn. Then I added the "l" and a rose to the star plus S.

Oh the rose and the ball chain were colored with black alcohol ink.

Now that you've seen my project, hop along to the others. Remember to comment at each stop on your way to earn a chance to win a fabulous prize. Plus, if you come back later, I might have a second project up.
