SCS' Virtual Stamp Night -- Viva Las Vegas!

I've wanted to participate in a SCS Virtual Stamp Night since I first found the community a few years back. I always spaced it out, wasn't around, or swamped.

This time, I was busy during the actual event with a baby shower and family stuff, but they extended the deadlines to upload the cards, I was able to play along. It was even better because the theme of the the VSN was "Viva Las Vegas!", which was perfect for so many of my new sets of Bombshell Stamps.

I participated in two challenges: a Framed Challenge and a Glitter Challenge.

The Framed Challenge was fun and made me feel thrifty. *snort* I still have a ton of printed Frames from This & That and from MAMBI that I saved for a rainy day. I cut one down, flipped it, painted it with Silver Dabbers, then added some Black Soot Distress Ink, because I have to use that ink for all projects. It's the law.

I stamped Lady Luck from the "Lady Luck" set, colored her with Copics, and framed her with the silver frame. I added some Copic-colored cash (from my stash and saved from a purge), some jewels, and a stamped, cut out "Good Luck" sentiment (also from that set) to the frame. The jewels' thickness threw off the color of the scan a bit. Her skin has more pink tones irl. I mounted the frame on a card front that was stamped with a small horseshoe from the "Lady Luck" set using Grey Ancient Page ink, which I've had for five years or more (which makes it truly ancient).

For the Glitter Challenge, we were to coat an image or a panel with glitter. I first tried to use my beloved Skull & Rose from the "Man's Ruin" set, but it sort of fell apart when I added the glitter. Bummer.

So, I decided to use the mermaid from the "Mermaid Treasure" set. I stamped her, colored her with Copics, cut her out, coated her with a layer of Glossy Accents, dumped on the Prisma Glitter, dumped it off, and let it set. I then adhered her to a panel of patterned paper by Flair Designs, added some gemstones, and used glitter stickers for the sentiment.

FYI:
Bombshell Stamps has ELEVEN (11) New sets up for pre-order.
