Rose Gift WindowRama Card

Stampendous' fabulous new July release includes several gorgeous floral stamp sets. I decided to create a WindowRama card using the new Rose Gift Cling Stamp Set.

Instructions:
  1. Using the WindowRama Base Die, cut the rose patterned paper, Rain (blue) cardstock, and white cardstock.
  2. Fold the rose patterned paper backwards along the innermost score line, then use the circle die from the WindowRama die set to cut the aperture. Edge along the fold line and the aperture with the BG72 marker. Set aside.
  3. Fold the Rain cardstock forwards along the innermost fold line. Set aside.
  4. Using Memento ink. stamp the Rose Cling Stamp onto the white cardstock WindowRama Base and onto a scrap of white cardstock.
  5. Color both stamped rose images with Copic markers. 
  6. Fussy-cut the roses image that was stamped onto the scrap cardstock. Edge with a black marker.
  7. Use a stamp positioner, stamp the sentiment as shown so that it fits within the aperture of the WindowRama card front.
  8. Trim the stamped white cardstock along the innermost score lines and adhere to the Rain card base.
  9. Use foam adhesive to pop up the two fussy-cut roses over their counterparts.
  10. Using strong adhesive, adhere the patterned paper WindowRama card front to the card base.
  11. Cut a length of Crinkle Ribbon and place it into a small bowl or bag. Squirt a small amount of BG72 Copic Various reindeer over the ribbon. Add a small amount of Isopropyl Alcohol to the bag or small bowl. Squish the ribbon around until it's saturated with the color you'd like. Add more reindeer if necessary. 
  12. Hold the ribbon with a tweezer and heat set to make the ribbon crinkle and to make sure it's dry.
  13. Attach the key to the ribbon and adhere to the top of the card as shown. Tie a loose bow to finish the card.

Instructions:

  1. Cut 12x12 red cardstock in half, score, and fold to form a 6" square card. Set aside.
  2. Cut patterned paper to 5.75" square and edge with Distress ink.
  3. Stamp Chickadee onto white cardstock.
  4. Color with Copic markers.
  5. Cut the image panel with the circle die from the Build a Wreath Die Set.
  6. Cut red cardstock with the circle die from the WindowRama Die Set.
  7. Mat the image panel circle onto the red cardstock.
  8. Add White Gelly Roll pen accents to berries. Let dry.
  9. Add Clear Stardust Glitter pen accents to snow on berries and branch. Let dry.
  10. Coat the "snow" with several layers of Clear Glaze pen, letting the glaze dry between layers.
  11. Adhere the matted image panel onto the patterned paper card front.
  12. Using VersaFine Clair ink stamp the sentiment onto cardstock and die-cut with one of the dies from the Fitted Frames A Die set. 
  13. Cut red cardstock with the next largest die from the same set.
  14. Mat the sentiment onto the red die-cut.
  15. Adhere a length of ribbon vertically to the card front, securing the ends behind the panel.
  16. Adhere the card front to the red card. 
  17. Tie a bow and adhere as shown to finish the card.

Owl Swoop Journey Journal

I love Steampunk and I love owls, so when I saw that Stampendous' new release included two Steampunky owls, I knew that I had to have them!

Here's my first project using the gorgeous new Owl Swoop Rubber Stamp. It's a mixed media journal that was so much fun to create, especially since I used the Journey 6x8 Wood Album by Clear Scraps.

Instructions:
  1. Brush both sides of the album covers with Blue and White Vintage Effect Wash. Be sure to paint the sides and any openings (binder holes and "Journey"). Let dry.
  2. Brush both sides of the album covers with Media Matte Medium. Let dry.
  3. Using Jet Black StazOn ink, stamp the World Map onto the bottom of the front cover and onto a piece of scrap paper. Heat set the cover and fussy-cut the the scrap paper map.
  4. Using a temporary adhesive place the scrap map over its counterpart as a mask.
  5. Using Jet Black StazOn ink, stamp the Clock Collage onto the cover,. Heat set.
  6. Using Jet Black StazOn ink, fill in any gaps on the cover with the Cling Crackle stamp. Heat set.
  7. Lift the mask and remove any of the remaining temporary adhesive. Brush the cover with a layer of Media Matte Medium. Let dry.
  8. Scrape Media Modeling Paste over the Steampunk Clock stencil onto the stamped painted front cover. Lift the stencil and clean immediately. Let the cover dry.
  9. Stamp Owl Swoop onto white cardstock using Memento ink.
  10. Color with Copic markers, fussy-cut, and edge with a dark marker. Set aside.
  11. When the Media Modeling Paste is completely dry, paint the stenciled raised image with Media Fluid Acrylic paints. Let dry.
  12. Brush the cover with Media Matte Medium. Let dry.
  13. Use the Media Matte Medium to adhere the colored fussy-cut Owl to the cover as shown. Coat the Owl and the cover with several layers of Media Matte Medium, letting it dry between the layers.
  14. Cut a piece of Mixed Media paper slightly larger than the cut out word on the cover.
  15. Press the paper into the VersaMark pad and heat emboss with Aged Bronze Frantage Embossing Powder. 
  16. Repeat step #15, then let cool.
  17. Flip the front cover over and securely adhere the Aged Bronze embossed paper face down over the reverse of the cut-out word. 
  18. Trim two sheets of the patterned paper to 5.25" x 7.75", edge with Watering Can Archival ink, then adhere over the embossed panel on the inside of the front cover and onto the inside of the back cover.
  19. Edge all sides of the front and back cover of the journal with Jet Black Archival ink.
  20. Cut journal paper, cardstock, lined paper, etc. to fit the journal. Punch holes that match up with the binder's holes.
  21. Insert binder clips to attach the front cover, hole-punched papers, and back cover.
  22. Add charms and such to the top binder clip.
  23. Thread ribbon through the other holes in the cover and tie.

Instructions:
  1. Cut a piece of red cardstock to 7" x 10". Score and fold in half to form a 5" x 7" card. Set aside.
  2. Cut a piece of 12x12 Double Dot paper to 6.75" x 4.75" and to 5.25" x 4".
  3. Edge both panels with Distress ink. Set aside.
  4. Stamp the image with Memento ink onto white cardstock.
  5. Color with Copic markers.
  6. Cut the image panel to 5" x 3.75".
  7. Mat the image with the reverse side of the smaller panel of Double Dot paper.
  8. Adhere the image panel as shown.
  9. Adhere ribbon vertically with it secured firmly behind the card front.
  10. Adhere the card front to the card.
  11. Thread the gold thread through the openings on the top of the two bells and knot securely.
  12. Adhere the bell bearing threads slightly below the top of the ribbon.
  13. Make a double-loop bow and adhere to finish the card.

Stamp Platform

Instructions:
  1. Using a Stamp Platform, position the Holiday Ephemera stamp face down onto mixed media paper that has been secured to the platform base with magnets.
  2. Close the platform and lift, then ink the stamp with VersaMark Clair ink. Stamp.
  3. Re-ink the stamp and stamp again until the coverage is excellent.
  4. Heat set.
  5. Use Distress inks to color the image. Heat set.
  6. Stamp the Poinsettia stamp onto mixed media paper, color with Copic markers, fussy-cut, then edge with a dark marker.
  7. Adhere the Poinsettia onto the Holiday Ephemera image as shown. 
  8. Trim the Holiday Ephemera image panel, then use a distressing tool or the edge of a scissor blade to distress. Run the leafing pen over the torn edge.
  9. Spray the piece with Gold Starburst Shimmer spray to add a sparkly festive touch.
  10. Cut a piece of red cardstock to 6" square and use this to mat the image panel.
  11. Adhere the matted image panel to the front of the gold shopping bag.
  12. Stamp the sentiment onto red cardstock using VersaMark ink. 
  13. Sprinkle with Jeweled Gold embossing powder and heat set.
  14. Die-cut the sentiment with a tag die and edge with the leafing pen.
  15. Thread ribbon through the hole in the tag and tie onto the handle of the bag.
  16. Add ribbon bows to the bag to fancify it.
