Bellastastic Challenge!

I created this card to enter the current Stamping Bella Challenge on SCS. The theme is A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words and the challenge was to create a card/project with no sentiment and let the image(s) do all the talking.

I used this sketch from the Stampin' Royalty blog!

Here's my card!

I flipped the card 90° left and made the card into a square card to accommodate the image. The image is Uptown Girls--Clarissa & Camille (Coffee) by Stamping Bella, which I just got for Christmas! This stamp and all the other Stamping Bella stamps are on sale right now! Booya!

This super-cute image was stamped onto Neenah cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, then colored with Copic markers, which I'll list below.

I chose the Copic colors to match the floral paper on the base of the card, which is from the Soho Garden 6x6 pad by American Crafts. The pink and green polka-dot papers are from the Bold & Bright Double Dot 6x6 pad by Bo-Bunny. The patterned paper I used to mat the image is ancient KMA paper. Do any of you remember that company?

I used Spellbinders circle and heart circle dies, plus a very, very old QuicKutz heart die.

Thanks for visiting today!

  3. Really like your take on the card. For some reason, I really like square cards. I like the colors you chose for this card and the floral patterned paper in particular.
