Peace on Earth

In keeping with the holiday season and in light of recent events, I had the need to create this card.

Earth Angel from the Guardian Angels collection by Elisabeth Bell for SCACD was stamped using Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with Copic markers which I'll list below.

I stamped the image a second time onto Judikins Eclipse Tape, cut it out, and masked the image, then ran it through my Big Kick using a Spellbinders' Grand Labels 11 Nestabilities to die cut it. Keeping the cardstock in the die, a night sky was airbrushed using the Copic Airbrush System. Copic Opaque White paint was flicked from a toothbrush over the sky and the masked image to become "stars".

When the Opaque White was dry, I lifted the mask and touched up the image, adding some shadows and such. Gold Spica Glitter Pen was used on the peace sign and Clear Gelly Roll Stardust Pure Glitter Pen was used to add shimmer to her wings.

Holographic Glitter Liner was used to edge the die cut. I messed up when I squeezed a bit too hard, which resulted in a huge blob of glittery glue. I wiped most of it off, but you can still see the remnants. Since this was Take 2 with the card, I decided that I would embrace imperfection. :D BTW, I also have glittery glue all over my hands, in my hair, on my sweatshirt, etc.

The patterned paper is from a Memory Box 6x6 pad that is no longer available. However, there are loads more at SCACD here.

One of SCACD's Garden Corners dies was used to die cut white metallic paper, which was also used for the die cut border and the stamped sentiment by Hero Arts. Navy metallic paper was die cut with a Spellbinders die to frame the sentiment.

Thanks for visiting today.
