Clipboard Tutorial in two parts!

This clipboard was made for the "Sophomore". Yep. That's right, she finished her freshman year successfully! Yahoo!

She chose the Bombshell Stamps, colors, and papers and I did the rest! The stamps used are from the Love & Luck set (Rose, Rose Garland, Barbed Wire, both scrolls on the front), the Man's Ruin set (the Skull with the Rose), and the Bombshell Angel set (the Lil' Angel and Lil' Devil). The images are all very "her".

The tutorials are on the Bombshell Stamps forum at Paper Craft Planet. Since I'm such a windbag, there are two parts:
The Front -- aka Decorated Clipboard Tutorial -- Part One
The Back -- aka Clipboard Tutorial -- Part Two

Sketch Challenge

Here's a card I did for Nicole's challenge at Bombshell Planet's Forum at Paper Craft Planet. It was actually a sketch from Rubber Stamp Chat, but it's all good since I did it, right?

I used the Lady Luck set by Bombshell stamps. The focal image was colored with Copic markers, which I also used to add shadows to the three small images on the side. Those were stamped and heat embossed. The gem was colored with Twinkling H20s and the others were just left be.

The patterned paper is older Basic Grey. The flourishes and frames were cut from shimmery black vellum, which I adore (and need to find more). The circle border is by Making Memories and was part of a pack that I got on clearance. *big grin* The flourishes are BossKut dies and the frames are QuicKutz dies.

BTW, the ELEVEN new sets of stamps have arrived at Bombshell and Shannon, the Bombshell Goddess, is feverishly shipping out the pre-orders. Yahoo.

Father's Day Card #2

I used the most recent sketch at Split Coast Stampers for this card for my dad.

The stamps are Emily's Rooster Left, Egglet, and Chicklet Left -- all by OBP. Egglet cracks me up (pun intended).

The images were colored with Copics. The papers are Bandana Stripe by Flair Designs and very, very, very old black striped paper by KMA, which was sponged with Antique Paper Distress Ink to match the Bandana Stripe and the distressed edges of the stamped image panel.

The sentiment was computer generated.

Father's Day card #1

I was looking at my OBP Plumber stamps which are part of the Father's Day sale at OBP and even further discounted with the Birthday Sale. I thought to myself, "Self, remember that über-clever card by either Dianne or Claudette that had the faucet coming out of a wine bottle? Wouldn't it be fun to re-visit Shady Al's Moonshine?" Self said, "Yessirree!" and here it is. I hope Claudette and/or Dianne aren't mad at me for lifting and adapting their idea.

I used Coffee Plumber Bird, Piper Piping with Faucet, Shady Al Owl, and Jar Plain.

All images were colored with Copic markers. I used clear Spica pens on the sentiment, three dots on the lower right, and the moonshine in the jar to make them sparkly. Moonshine should be sparkly, don't you think? It makes you FEEL sparkly or so I'd imagine since I've never had any.

The patterned paper is very old Junkitz ones. I'm really trying to use my stash before buying more, though patterned-paper-buying is an addiction. I think it's because it never makes me look fat and always matches something.

Almost summer!

I just wish I were in shape to wear a swimsuit like that, but I am working on it!

The card is for Gabby's sketch challenge over at the Bombshell Stamps forum at Paper Crafts Planet. Check it out! There's candy involved. *grin*

The pin-up image is from the Bombshell Beauty set by Bombshell Stamps. She was colored with Copic markers. There's a tiny pearl in the flower in her hair. The patterned papers are from Flair Designs and are old faves of mine! I used a Pearl Paint Dabber to color the shell nailheads. The thickness of the nailheads threw off the colors of the scan. The bathing beauty is not quite as sunburned irl. Silly scanner.
