Very late birthday card.

This card was for a friend's birthday, which was back at the end of March. I had her gift all set to go, but hadn't made her card for her, though I knew exactly what I wanted to use for it. Then life set in including my usual expertise in procrastination. I finally made the card a few weeks back, then finally got it together to mail off the gift (but without any wrapping since if I did that, it would have made the gift even later). Fortunately, my friend shares the belief that you can celebrate your birthday for as long as you want... I checked delivery confirmation so I know that her gift has arrived, so I can share the card here.

The focal image is from the "Man's Ruin" set by Bombshell Stamps. My friend's favorite color is orange, so the card reflects that. The image was colored with Copics with some Spica pen to add some shine to her hair and effervescence (sp?) to the bubbles. BTW, if you think some Tiki Torches and Tiki drinks would fit in with image, there are a few new Tiki sets at Bombshell for you to check out.

I used a QuicKutz frame, which was too short, so I cut it apart and added some pearls to connect the top to the bottom. Pearls were added to the Basic Grey Marrakesh papers to repeat that element.

The little tag is also a QuicKutz die and the sentiment is a QuicKutz rub-on made to use with the die.

Thanks for visiting today!
