Hey Gorgeous!

Desmond Squeaker Bird is a bit vain and loves to look at himself whenever and wherever possible.

He'll be able to see himself online frequently during the month of July as he's part of the Full Tart kit from Lime Tart, which is now available in the US, which will save you shipping costs.

Anyways, I got out a transparency and used my alcohol inks for this card.

There have been contests, challenges, and now we're celebrating "Owl Week". Click here to check it out! If you do stop in to the new forum, be sure to say hi!

This card uses some of the new release stamps. Specifically, I used Cannon Right, Cannon Left, Space Owl, and "uh oh".

Cure for the "Cobbler's Family Syndrome"

What exactly is the "Cobbler's Family Syndrome"? It's when the Cobbler's Family doesn't have good shoes because the cobbler is too busy.

My version of this syndrome is that I make loads of cards for dt deliverables and for submissions but can't seem to manage to make and send cards for family and friends.

My cure? I'm trying to make and stockpile some cards to actually be mailed! What a concept! How am I doing this? I'm making duplicate cards when I can and filing them into a "Card Stash to be Mailed" box. Cards that were submitted and not picked up will also be added to the box.

In fact, I hope to spend a bit of time this weekend creating some cards for the "To Be Mailed Box". I actually just posted a challenge at the at Odd Bird Planet Forum at SplitCoast Stampers! Why don't you participate in the challenge and add to your card stash?

Now if only I could create something to help me remember to address and mail cards!

This "Wishing you loads of loot" card uses:
Scuba Priscilla, who was colored with both Prismacolor and Copic markers.
Philippes Le Fish Small Left, who were colored with Copic markers and Uniball Signo White Gel pen.
Treasure Chest -- the wooden part was colored with Copic markers, but the treasure and lock parts were colored with Pentel Arts Metallic Brush markers.
Stems, which were repeatedly stamped with Shabby Shutters, Pine Needles, and Mustard Seed Distress Inks to make them look like sea plants.

The air bubbles were drawn with the White Uniball Signo Gel pen and are glittery from Prisma Glitter.

I could use a charm!

If I had a charm, it would grant me another 12 hours per day from now until June 22nd. I keep running out of time while trying to get things done!

The last week has been a total whirlwind here as the teenager primped and prepared for her prom, attended said prom and had a magical evening, partied with her friends all weekend long, went to the Senior Picnic on Tuesday (I helped out a teeny bit), and is currently getting her yearbook and kicking up her heels at her Senior Social.

During all this, I've been playing chauffeur, have become "the Money Tree", created the invitations, mailed them, did more party planning, planted a ton of flowers, and have just been running willy nilly.

Next week will see me doing more party planning, creating the guest book and pen holder for her graduation party, and driving 6 hours round-trip for her college orientation.

Today is my blog-a-versary. I was going to hold a challenge and award a prize. However, I just didn't get it together to create a card, gather the prize, photograph the prize, and post about it.

Instead, I'm going do celebrate on June 27th, which is a special day for me.

The card features Charmed Charmer and the Tall Tent from justjohanna's Odd Bird Planet's latest release.

Happy Birthday justjohanna!

Today is justjohanna's Odd Bird Planet's second birthday, so I thought that the celebration should include a drink and a cake!

The Priscilla family (including the newer mini Priscilla) shows off by balancing a Birthday Cake with Candles and a Martini while sitting under the Spring Tree. Little Owl-Fred is overseeing the festivities with a happy birthday flourish!

To commemorate this birthday, Johanna has added a 20% off coupon to justjohanna's Odd Bird Planet Newsletter. Simply email Johanna at johanna@justjohanna.com and tell her you would like to subscribe. The coupon is good until June 10th. You can use it multiple times and can use it on June's Special Deal and on the discounted discontinued items.

June's Special Deal was just announced!

IMHO, it's a really super special deal with some "must have" stamps.

Click here so you can be one of the first to get it.

Plus, if you already have Alma, you can swap her out for another owl. How cool is that?

If you'd like to see the special deal in action, click here to see what some of my very talented Odd Bird team mates have done.
