Final answer!

I created four or five different invitations so that the teenager would have a choice. She chose this one. It's rather clean and simple, but that's my teenager for you.

The stamp is Al Graduating. The teenager also chose the font and font color for the cards. She approved the layout, suggested that I color two of the four graduation caps, and showed me which ones they were! She's decisive and opinionated. Me? I'm just opinionated.

Anyways, I've just printed out a pile of invitations, started to generate the mailing labels, and promptly ran out. Such is life. Off to Staples in the morning, then I'll be stuffing, labeling, stamping (postage), and mailing them all of tomorrow. Yahoo!

Oh... the party? It's a 12 hour bash! Noon to six for the family and six to midnight for her friends. Yikes. I must be insane.

The paper is by Moxxie. I'll need another few sheets since I was informed that she'd like me to use it for her guest book and I know I'll want to use it for her Grad book, which was one of my big finds at the Memories Expo earlier this month. It's a word book that says "GRAD" and I also got a 2008 to attach to it. Graduation photos and the best photos from her party will go in it.

More Big News! (or should that be Moos?)

The newest batch of stamps from the latest release by justjohanna's oddbird planet are now available! Yahoo!

There are several "moo" sentiments to go with the cows and farm stuff that was released in the spring. They all make me smile because they're punny.

There are also some brand new categories. Go check it out now by clicking here!

One of my favorite stamps is work van right. I was thrilled to discover that frontal cow fit into the advertising panel fairly well after a little masking action! "We're moo-ving" is one of the new bovine sentiments.

The Name Game!

That title probably put the wrong song into your head. The right song would be "Ch ch ch changes"

justjohanna has changed the name to justjohanna's oddbird planet which makes me an oddbird designer. How fitting!

Don't worry though. The stamps will retain the same fun whimsical flair.

You rock, I rock, we all rock!

I'm delighted to announce that I will be on the justjohanna design team for another term.

This card is for all of the dt because frankly, and in all modesty, we rock! *giggle* It features brody and "you rock". Either I've been living with a teenager too long or I'm an old classic rocker, but I find both stamps to be incredibly useful. The paper is from the Recess 6x6 pad by Basic Grey and the torn strips are from my stash. I'm still searching for the perfect edgy look to go with the stamps, but I think I might be getting closer.

Here's the list of the newbies and oldbies-who-are-continuing.

I will update the list on the right of the blog soon.

Another punny card

I don't know what it is about the justjohanna cows. They just make me think of punny sentiments. Of course, it's partially because I do love puns and most everything associated with words.

Anyway, this is another card and sentiment that sprang into my brain when I first saw polka-dot cow. The sentiment is computer generated. The scene was colored with my new Copic markers. I don't know who makes that ribbon (which is really black & white), but I couldn't resist buying it on my last trip to the LSS.

A spot of brightness on a dreary day

I love the appropriately named Joe Way Cool Drummer. He cracks me up because he's so hep and cool. He took a little time trip from the 60s to the 70s so he'd match with the neon color scheme, which I pulled from the diecut Wonder Years frame. I wonder if he's playing some acid rock to go with his outfit and his drums.

He thinks you rock and he also thinks you might need some shades.

Bird day fun.

The new diecuts designed by Stephanie DosReis for the Wonder Years collection by Daisy Ds are such fun to use!

I just couldn't resist perching sylvie left and sylvie right on the Zebra's outstretched arms while he balances on the dotty border. The "happy bird day" sentiment seemed appropriate, so I added that too.

So "Happy Bird Day" to all who are celebrating this week!

At home in the castle

When I saw this diecut from the Wonder Years collection by Daisy D, I immediately thought it resembled a castle, so I trimmed a bit here and there and added a prince and a princess.

Cheers on Cinco de Mayo!

It's not a margarita and I'm not even sure it's a martini since they usually aren't blue. But ¡Cheers! anyways!

The card uses diecuts from the new Daisy D Wonder Years collection by Stephanie DosReis and stamps from justjohanna. The stamps are other-tini, "cheers", and vegas plume. The paper is old, but beloved, holiday paper from Daisy D.
